It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend, Brian Farmer. Long time guitar tech and friend to Warren Haynes, Brian was extremely devoted to his work and has followed and supported Warren through the various bands he’s played with over the decades including the Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule, the Dead and Phil Lesh & Friends.
Brian will be missed by many here at PRS Guitars and his friends and colleagues in the music industry. He personally touched the lives of so many folks he worked with. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends and all of his industry peers that had the good fortune and pleasure of knowing and working with Brian.

The Archon amplifier was introduced by PRS Guitars in 2013 and has enjoyed a great reception from artists, dealers, and players alike. The 100 watt, high gain amp head offered musicians a new tool that could achieve lush, bone-crushing gain while providing an exceptional clean channel not normally found on amps with so much crunch. A new 50 watt version (with a half-power switch and some notable configuration options) is now available and opens up the Archon’s articulate, modern platform to players of all genres.
Based on Paul’s Guitar, the guitar that Paul Reed Smith is currently playing in the studio and on the stage, the Brushstroke 24 is lacking neither tone nor style. This limited edition model carries over a familiar carved, figured maple top with mahogany back wood combination, the unique “brushstroke” bird inlay design, and adds 24-fret, tremolo versatility to the Core Paul’s Guitar model.
On the first anniversary of the S2 Series, PRS is adding three new models to the lineup: the S2 Mira Semi-Hollow, S2 Custom 22 Semi-Hollow, and the S2 Singlecut Semi-Hollow. These three new models further PRS’s desire to create a complete product offering inside the S2 Series.
Welcome bassists. PRS Guitars is now offering its first two basses through the popular SE line: the SE Kingfisher and SE Kestrel. Designed in PRS’s Maryland shop, the Kingfisher and Kestrel both feature neck through construction for sustain and evenly balanced tone, but are very distinctive instruments.
